Po' Smedley's Life And Brain Drippings
Published on October 14, 2024 By PoSmedley In Multiplicity

I looked and unfortunately found no other post on this, which means the issue is probably on my end..but here goes.

I installed Multiplicity 4 on my both and PC's and can no longer copy + paste between PC's like I could with Multi. 3 version.

Am i missing a new setting?

I believe the base model of Multiplicity 3 limits the size of copy and paste items.

You would either need to upgrade to the KVM version of Multiplicity 3 or buy Multiplicity 4 instead.

Is Multiplicity 3 a new purchase?

Multiplicity 3 I purchased.? I think. Multiplicity 2 let me copy and paste urls, pages of text, pics, videos, pretty much whatever I wanted between computers.

Let me correct myself. What I am talking about is Multiplicity 4 - not 3. 4 will not let mas copy and paste anything.

***Correction. For whatevber reason I can copy paste everything but text or urls from one PC to the other.

So, i had worked out everything and Multiplicity 4 ran great. But then it was updated. The update borked the audio sharing or so it seems. I am unable to share audio.

Now with Mult.3, I could share audio but frequently had to do this little trick to get it working which was; On the Audio tab, I would delete and then re-enter the 'Passcode' and then the audio was fine. I would have to do this about 97% of the time.

I tried this with Mult.4 but it doesn't fix the audio issue. I've uninstalled everything Multiplicity (more than once) and re-installed. As far as Mult.4, the audio just refuses to comply. So, I'm back to Mult.3 and doing the same old trick to have the audio working.

I looked at what documentation there is and found no solution. I also rolled back the PC to pre-Mult.4 and tried

Windows 11

AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor

ASROCK B450M/ac Motherboard

16GB DDR4

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 6GB/DDR5 Video Card

So, any help would be appreciated.

While for MP3, the troubleshooting from here is largely the same.  Please let us know if any resolved your issue
