Who do you know, that, like myself, is whining for their Vista Upgrade? Well, they need wait no more. Through Major Geeks I found this cool little 'Vista Upgrade' prank. I ran it myself and it's absolutely harmless (Major Geeks has been 100% good for me as far as safe downloads and programs). The graphics are great and it looks like you are actually getting the upgrade. The only flaw would be that anyone who is familiar with 'installs' would know it takes 'much' longer than what the prank does.

"The Vista Upgrade Prank starts by emulating the Windows Update service screen. Clicking the install or cancel button closes the update service window and appears to initiate the Vista Upgrade Advisor. This Upgrade Advisor scan the system (actually does nothing) to ensure the computer is ready to upgrade to Vista."

You can read more by clicking on the link. There, you will find the link to download your own and spring it on whomever you like.

The place I love going besides here is Major Geeks. You get early notice of program upgrades and changes, and I usally get a smile when reading "Way Off Base" links. If you haven't been, go for a visit. Thanks Po'.

I have been checking out some of the other 'pranks' offered. The one for 'Pirated' software is a hoot!
